Disney World Fireworks: Best FREE Viewing Spots Outside the Parks!

Disney World is known for its fireworks spectaculars every night! Currently, both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT have brand new fireworks shows and the best part is, you do not need a park admission ticket to be able to see them! Here are the best FREE places to watch Disney World fireworks.

Want to know the best firework viewing inside of the parks? Check out this article!

Gran Destino Tower- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Gran Destino Tower is the newest tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It is a moderate resort that is located across from Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park and offers firework views of both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT!

Once you have made your way inside of the Gran Destino Tower, head to the elevator and up to the Dahlia Lounge. The Dahlia Lounge offers incredible outdoor seating with views of the fireworks. Although this lounge serves mostly tapas and cocktails, kids are welcome too! As an added bonus, you don’t need a reservation!

Spend your evening enjoying the views, food, and finishing off the night with Disney World fireworks at the Dahlia Lounge at Gran Destino Tower.

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

The best Disney resort for nightlife is even better because it offers the best viewing for EPCOT fireworks outside of the park! The boardwalk is a popular resort, and to be able to access it can be tricky.

You can drive to the boardwalk, but without a reservation, the security has the right to turn you away if parking gets full.

One way to guarantee access at the Boardwalk resort is to utilize busses. You can park at Disney Springs for free and then take Disney transportation to the boardwalk!

Once you are at the boardwalk, enjoy the beautiful lobby with hidden Disney gems all around and make your way outside to the boardwalk. Head to the right, past the ESPN sports bar and grill, and walk over the bridge. You can secure a spot pretty close to Epcot’s entrance. This bridge offers the best views of Epcot’s nighttime fireworks for FREE!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

One of the original resorts at Walt Disney World and located just a short walk away from the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary resort offers multiple great and FREE spots to watch Disney World fireworks!

My favorite spot is located on the opposite end of the lobby, far from Chef mickey’s and the food court, and near the gift shop. Head outside the doors onto an outside patio. You will then see some chairs located in the left corner of the patio! Those chairs are a lovely and free place to watch Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks for free. What’s even better? They play the music for you as well (and the views of the monorail are unmatched).

Another great place to watch the fireworks is up the stairwells. You can enter from this outside patio and just climb up the stairs as much as you want until you feel like you have a good view! The farther up you go, the music gets fainter, but overall this is one of my favorite spots to watch Disney World fireworks.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort

Located directly across the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Magic Kingdom, the Polynesian resort offers the next best place to watch the fireworks in the park, watching fireworks with your toes in the sand and a dole whip in your hand!

Similar to the other Disney resorts, parking at the Polynesian Resort for the fireworks is never a guarantee. The best way to watch the fireworks is to make a reservation at a restaurant at the hotel or to park at Disney Springs and take Disney busses over.

If you are able to get yourself into the Polynesian Resort, walk straight through the lobby, past the pool, and to the beach for the fireworks. The Polynesian Resort is great because you are able to see some of the projections on the castle and they also pump in the fireworks soundtrack so you get the full experience!

Make sure not to deviate too far to the sides of the beach because the speakers are not loud and the sound does not travel too far!

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Did you know that the Grand Floridian and Polynesian resorts are connected?! Yup, you can walk between both of the resorts along the lagoon and beach line. It is a lovely walk if you get the chance, and all along this stroll offers great firework viewing with lower crowds!

The Grand Floridian is also home to views of Magic Kingdoms fireworks. Head to the boat dock for the best view at the Grand Floridian. I prefer the Polynesian because it is a head-on view of the fireworks, and the Grand Floridian is a side angle, but it still is worthy of watching from here.

Disney Springs Parking Garage

One of the most underrated viewing spots for fireworks is the Disney Springs Parking Garage. Stand on level 5, the top floor, of the Disney Springs Orange garage for views of Magic Kingdom and Epcot fireworks! Although there are lights on top of the parking lots, they come with low crowds and unobstructed views.

Watching the fireworks on top of the Orange Parking Garage offers unique views for the fireworks that are easily accessible!

Coca-Cola Factory at Disney Springs

Located at the entrance of the Orange parking garage at Disney Springs is the Coca-Cola factory, a three-story Coca-Cola experience! The first two floors are dedicated to merchandise and a meet-and-greet (pre-covid) with the Coca-Cola polar bear, and the third is a rooftop bar offering alcoholic and nonalcoholic coke products.

The Coca-Cola Factory has a good view of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks and a good view of Disney Springs in general. You can head up here without purchasing anything which also makes it completely free! But, we do recommend watching the Fireworks with a coke float in hand (ice cream is always a good idea).
